The Penguin Factory were initially called in to simply reinstall desktop machines with the existing Linux desktop distrobution on new hardware. However it quickly became apparent that they required proper managed IT support that would give them the same range of services that a Windows based company would expect.
Within the year the Penguin Factory had implemented a centralised mail service, up to date distrubution / patch control and centralised printing.
In addition where windows applcations could not be ported to the Linux desktop, the Penguin Factory offered seemless integration with Windows terminal services to give the users the ability to transparently access company information from virtual sessions as if they were part of their native Linux desktop.
