The Penguin Factory™ was established in 2004 and represented the merger of two existing successful IT consultancy businesses. The company currently offers Open Source and Linux based products and consultancy to a number of companies and non-profit organisations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and the North of England.

The Penguin Factory™ provide support that compliments the clients' IT skill set, satisfying requirements ranging from day to day office support, through advanced network and service monitoring, to outsourced technical support for website design and Internet hosting companies.

In addition, we provide bespoke, custom built hardware for firewalls, network servers and client workstations.

In all these areas, we aim to achieve total customer satisfaction by providing these services at a level the client can comprehend. We try very hard to be jargon free and communicate to a business perspective. This way, the client can be confident that they're making decisions that they fully understand and what their implications are.

We are founder members of the Open Source Consortium. This is a not-for-profit organisation formed to represent the Open Source business community in the UK and guarantees the quality of open source deployments in the public sector by setting professional standards and bonding its members.
